Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform optimum control of air-fuel ratio throughout a wide range of operation from level land to high ground, by providing a carburetor and fuel injection valve and open-close controlling the both with a controller in accordance with intake air quantity.
CONSTITUTION: A bypass passage 7 is provided by detouring a Venturi 4 and intake throttle valve 6, electrically opened and closed by a motor driven actuator 5, further a fuel injection valve 8 is provided in the end part of said passage 7. While a cut-off solenoid valve 20 is provided in a fuel passage 13 communicating a float chamber 11 to a nozzle 12, further a bleed air control solenoid valve 18 is arranged in an auxiliary air introducing passage 17. Each of the valves is controlled by a controller 26 receiving signals of various sensors 29W33, for the intake air quantity not more than a prescribed value the solenoid valve 20 is closed and the injection valve 8 is opened, while for that not less than a prescribed value a main feed by the solenoid valve 20 and subfeed by the injection valve 8 are performed.
