Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to reduce the amount of aldehyde emission by controlling the fuel-air mixing ratio based on a discrimination output from a fuel composition discriminator, in an internal-combustion engin in which a plurality of fuels are injected in accordance with the operating conditions. CONSTITUTION:A conrol cirlcuit 8 is fed with signals from each sensor for water temperature 14, inrake air temperature 15, throttle opening 18 and the like, and the relationship between the opening of a throttle valve 17 and the supply amount of each fuel is stored therein. For instance, gasoline is solely injected when the valve 17 is fully closed, an alcohol is solely injected when the valve 17 is fully opened and both the fuels are injected when the valve 17 is partly opened. For this partly opened condition of the valve 17, the fuel-air mixing ratio is preset in accordance with the relationship between the engine revolution rate and the opening of the valve 17 and the ratio is stored in the circuit 8. The mixing ratio is detected by an alcohol concentration sensor 21 and fed back to the control circuit 8. Accordingly, the alcohol concentration in the fuel supplied into a combustion chamber 1a is controlled accurately.
