Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the performance of an engine, greatly reduce its fuel consumption and prevent exhaust gas pollution, by using a steam injector to previously pressurize burning air to supply the compressed air and steam into the engine. CONSTITUTION:Burning air is sucked in through an air filter 1 and mixed with fuel by a carburetor 2. The mixed air and fuel are mixed with steam by a steam injector 3. The final mixture flows into a mixing pipe 4. The steam produced by a steam generator 8 flows into the injector 3 through a diaphragm control valve 6. Since the temperature of combustion gas is lowered by the injection of the steam, exhaust gas pollution is avoided. In addition, engine performance is improved and fuel consumption is greatly reduced.
