Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a photoreceptor having high photosensitivity up to a near IR region by forming a vapor deposited film of phthalocyanine having trivalent or quadrivalent specific elements in the central structure as an electric charge generating layer and forming an electric charge transfer layer thereon. CONSTITUTION:The metallic phthalocyanine expressed by the formula (R is H, halogen, M is 1 kind of trivalent or quadrivalent element selected from the group of Al, Cr, Ga, Sb, In, Si, Ti, Ge, Sn and Te, A is halogen, alkyl,alkoxy, phenyl, B does not exist when M is trivalent and is the same as A when M is quadrivalent) is vapor deposited on a conductive substrate, whereby an electric charge generating layer is provided. Next, an electric charge transfer layer is formed on the charge generating layer. In this way, the photoreceptor having high sensitivity up to wavelength 600nm-near IR region is obtained.
