CONSTITUTION: To an acidic soln. such as about 0.1W2.0N hydrochloric acid is added about 100W5,000g/l iron powder. The grain size of the iron powder is <400mesh, and iron carbonyl powder having about 5μm average grain size is most suitable. It is effective to make the iron powder fine beforehand by blowing air or the like into the acidic soln. contg. the powder. To the soln. is further added 20W70wt% of ≥1 kind of water soluble org. solvent having smaller surface tension than water, e.g., methanol, ethanol or acetone, and the inside of a condensing pipe is coated with the prepared coating liq. Wet air is then blown into the pipe at ordinary temp. or a slightly elevated temp. to form a thin anticorrosive iron oxide film with superior adhesion and uniformity on the inside of the pipe in a short time.
