Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent foaming in top paint film as well as raise corrosion resistance for a long period by coating a zinc powder-contained thin paint film between an inorganic enriched zinc powder paint and a top paint film.
CONSTITUTION: A base material, e.g., steel plate, etc., is subjected to a rust removing treatment and then to a rust-proofing coating. Then, the base material thus treated is coated with an inorganic enriched zinc powder paint as an anticorrosive paint, consisting of an alkyl silicate, etc., as a vehicle and zinc powder pigment, in a dry thickness of 70W100 microns, then coated with a thin coating type zinc powder-containing paint, e.g., zinc powder enriched epoxy resin paint, etc., in a dry thickness of 10W30 microns by an air spraying method, etc., and lastly coated with a top paint of epoxy resin, etc. Thus, a dense film is formed on the anticorrosive paint film, preventing the occurrence of foaming phenomenon in the top paint film.
