Abstract
PURPOSE: To promote the holding force of a catalyst, to improve corrosion resistance and to magnify an appicable range by a method wherein Al is melting-projected onto the surface of a metallic material carrying the catalyst, and the surface is changed into the roughened surface while forming oxide coating.
CONSTITUTION: Metal Al is spray coated onto the surface of a stainless steel plate, an Al alloy sheet, a wire net or the like, which are used as a support material, and the surface is turned into the roughened surface while making up an oxide film with excellent acid resistance. Catalyst substance adapeted for an aim is attached by means of an application or a steeping method, etc. The catalyst does not easily exfoliate against a mechanical impact by using a substrate to which the Al layer is mounted, and the laminar catalyst which its quanlity is stable and its life is long can be obtained.
