CONSTITUTION:The voltage of an AC input 1 is rectified at 2 and applied via a switching element 4 of the primary winding 3a of a converter transformer 3. At the same time, the voltage of the input 1 is supplied to a driving circuit 7 of the element 4 as a power supply after the voltage reduction 13 and the rectification 14. Thus the element 4 is actuated to interrupt the primary winding current of the transformer 3. Then the voltage of the secondary winding 3b of the transformer 3 is supplied to a load 6 after the rectification at 5. The voltage of the winding 3b of such converter power supply device is rectified at 5 to obtain an output. This output is supplied to the circuit 7 via a reverse current preventing diode 17 as a power supply and along with the above-mentioned voltage reduction/rectification output (a).
