Abstract
PURPOSE: To realize a light-weight and compact structure for the power transformer as well as increase the power efficiency, by installing the power transformer, the switching circuit, the rectifying/smoothing circuit and the timing circuit each.
CONSTITUTION: Commercial power voltage VA is applied to primary winding 23 of power transformer 22 via switching circuit 24. On the other hand, the voltage of secondary winding 25 of transformer 22 is rectified and smoothed through rectifying/smoothing circuit 30 consisting of diodes 26 and 28 plus capacitor 29 to be supplied to output terminals 27a and 27b. At the same time, the ON-OFf timing control is given to circuit 24 based on output voltage VDC of output terminals 27a and 27b. Thus the voltage fluctuation can be prevented for terminals 27a and 27b. And also the intermittent transmission is possible for the power transformer 22, and thus the winding diameter of transformer 22 can be decreased to realize a compact and light- weight structure. Furthermore, the power loss can be reduced, obtaining a high power efficiency.
