NEW MATERIAL:An adenosine phosphate compound shown by the formula I (R is a group shown by the formula II linked to the 2-, 6-, or 8-position of purine ring; R1 is amino, etc. When R is linked to the 2- or 8-position of purine ring: R2 and R3 are H, phosphoric acid group, etc.; n is 0W2) and its salt.
EXAMPLE: 8-(4-Hydroxyphenethylamino)adenosine-5'-phosphate(triethylammonium salt).
USE: A raw material for preparing a rodioactive iodine marking compound for radioimmunoassay, e.g., adenosine monophosphate, etc. A compound obtained by introducing a nonradioactive iodine to the compound of this invention is usable as a contrast medium for X-ray.
PROCESS: A compound shown by the formula II (X is halogen linked to the 2-, 6-, or 8-position of purine ring) is reacted with D-hydroxyphenethylamine or its salt in water or an organic solvent, to give a compound shown by the formula I(n=2).
