Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare the titled compound useful as a remedy for obnubilation caused by brain lesion, economically, in an industrial scale, by condensing cytidine- 5'-phosphate with a metal salt of phosphorylcholine halide in the presence of a specific phosphorus compound.
CONSTITUTION: The objective compound can be obtained by reacting (A) cytidine- 5'-phosphate with (B) a metal salt of phosphorylcholine halide (e.g. calcium salt of phosphorylcholine chloride) in the presence of ≥1mol, pref. 2W4mol, based on 1mol of the component B, of one or more compounds selected from phosphorus oxychloride (pref. containing water), pyrophosphoryl tetrachloride and phosphorus trichloride, pref. in an organic solvent such as DMF, e.g. at 20W50°C for 1hr.
EFFECT: The objective compound can be prepared with a simple process, in high yield, without using expensive reagents.
