Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent danger at system power failure by a method wherein an electromagnetic contactor is provided between an inverter and a system in supplying an AC power source system with power from a DC power supply through the inverter, and the exciting coil is connected to the system. CONSTITUTION:A DC power supply 1 such as solar batteries is connected to an inverter 2 to control the inverter 2 by a pulse width modulation control device 4 and a power failure detecting device 6 and power is supplied to an AC system 3. And an electromagnetic contactor 8 obtaining power for an exciting coil 9 from the system 3 is provided between the inverter 2 and the system 3. Therefore, when the power in the system 3 fails, the power failure detecting device 6 operates to suspend the operation of the inverter 2 and to open contactors 10 by releasing the magnetization of the exciting coil 9. So, a current will not be fed to the system 3 even if the suspension of the inverter 2 is released by the malfunction of main circuit elements or a control circuit and danger can be prevented.
