1467711 Auxiliary lighting systems TAMWORTH ELECTRICAL ENG CO Ltd 30 May 1975 [4 June 1974] 24639/74 Heading H2H An auxiliary lighting system comprises a high source L, a battery B and the energizing coil RL of a relay connected in series across a source of electrical power the contacts RL/a of the relay being connected across the light source L and the battery B and arranged to be open when the relay is energized. Failure of the supply L, N causes de-energization of the relay so that the light source L is energized by the battery B via the closed contacts RL/a. Should either the battery of the light source become faulty whilst the supply exists the relay becomes deenergized and energized in an intermittent mode to provide an indication of the fault.
