Abstract

PURPOSE:To avoid occurrence of the narcissus phenomenon and to improve quality of regenerated pictures by a detector wherein a window member transparent for infrared rays is disposed to have a given angle with respect to the light receiving surface of a semiconductor infrared ray detector. CONSTITUTION:An incident infrared ray A hits upon a window member 5 which is disposed to have an angle theta with respect to a light receiving surface 4a of a semiconductor infrared ray detector 4. Then, the infrared ray passes along optical paths D and E and is focused on the light receiving surface 4a so as to be converted into an electrical signal. A radiated infrared ray from the light receiving surface 4a goes on along an optical path B and is reflected by a rear surface 5a of the window member 5, so that the reflected ray goes on in the direction C deviated from the optical path B by angle of 2theta and does not enter the light receiving surface 4a. Thus, there occurs no narcissus phenomenon.
