Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the production of an optical switch by using one of plural optical fiber bundles, each of which attaches plural optical fibrs to the one end of a self-focusing lens, for the detection of the switchin status of other fiber bundles. CONSTITUTION:Two fiber bundles 12, 13 each of which has fibers 1-7 and a self-focusing lens 8 are disposed so as to be opposed to a reflecting mirror 9, which is rotated by a motor 17 driven by an appropriate driving pulse converted from a feeding pulse signal 19 at a motor driving part 18. When an optical signal from a fiber 2 is connected to a fiber 7 in the fiber bundle 12, the fiber bundle 13 detects the connection of the optical signal to the fiber 7 in the fiber bundle 12 by projecting light from the fiber 7 which is emitted from a light emitting part 15, connecting the light to a fiber 2, turning on a photodetecting 16, encoding the output, and displaying ''2'' in a detecting part. The encoded output is inputted to an subtractor 21 simultaneously with the input to a display part 20 and subtracted from an output obtained by encoding a motor driving signal in the motor driving part 18 and the difference is inputted again in the motor driving part 18.
