Abstract
PURPOSE:To quickly heat cooling water with high energy of exhaust gas, by connecting an exhaust pipe with a hose which introduces cooling water from the engine to a heat radiator through a heat pipe. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust gas from an exhaust pipe 12 flows through an exhaust passge 14 of a heating device 13 during the engine operation, while cooling water from a hose 7 in a heat radiator 10 passes through a low temperature path 20 to come in touch with the radiating unit 21b of a heat pipe 21. As a control valve 17 is opened for cooling the engine, part of hot exhaust gas flows in a hot path 15 through the exhaust passage 14 to heat the heat sensing unit 21a of the heat pipe 21, and heat received by the unit 21a is momentarily transferred to the radiating unit 21b through the heat pipe 21 for heating cooling water in the low temperature passag 20. Quick heat exchange of cooling water is effective for accelerating warming-up and heating the interior space.
