Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance mirror surface finishing property, skin roughness resistance and heat check resistance of the titled metal mold material of a martensite type obtained by providing a specific composition containing C, Si, Mn, Ni, Cr, V, Co and the remainder of Fe.
CONSTITUTION: Said metal mold material for molding the glass is the martensite type alloy containing 0.1W0.65% of C, 0.1W2.0% of Si, 0.5W5.0% of Mn, 0.2W 2.0% of Ni, 20.0W35.0% of Cr, 0.1W1.0% of V and 2.0W20.0% of Co and comprising the remainder of Fe and inevitable impurities. When said alloy is melted again in vacuum or in a slag, the properties thereof can be further enhanced.
