PURPOSE: To provide the title alloy with superior high temp. compressive strength and oxidation resistance at ultrahigh temps. which alloy has a specified compsn. consisting of C, Si, Mn, Cr, Ni, Co, W, Mo, P, S and the balance Fe.
CONSTITUTION: This alloy consists of, by wt., C≤0.15%, Si 0.5W2.0%, Mn 0.5W2.0%, Cr 18W28%, Ni 5.0W15%, Co 55W65%, W 3.0W7.0%, Mo 0.2W5.0% (Mo+W 5.0W11%), P≤0.04%, S≤0.04% and the balance Fe. It is manufactued by usual refining and has superior high temp. compressive strength and oxidation resistance at such ultrahigh temps. as about 1,300W1,330°C, so this alloy is suitable for use as a material for a hearth member such as a hearth metal.
