CONSTITUTION:In a multizone type continuous heating furnace consisting of a preheating zone, a heating zone, and a soaking zone, steel strips of different shapes and sizes are heated to respective target temperatures. The temperatures of steel strips in each zone are obtained from the temperatures of the three zones, the characteristics of the furnace, and the thermal characteristics and heat hysteresis of steel strips to be heated. Furthermore, the residual staying times of steel strips in each zone are obtained from the positions of steel strips, the positions of steel strips going ahead in the extracting direction, and the extracting pitch of steel strips.
