Abstract
PURPOSE:To correct an endless belt under high precision and high efficiency by heating a metal belt, undergoing plastic deformation, correcting its size, and finally colling. CONSTITUTION:A base material of an endless metal belt is formed in a cylindrical shape by a preform process. This base material is squeezed with a punch while being fitted to a mandred, and is formed into a thin cylinder. After unnecessary ends are cut off, a core metal of SUS304 is inserted into the center of the thin cylinder, and is annealed under vacuum. Rough finishing for the thickness and the peripheral length of the belt is conducted by a ring mill process, and the belt is cut to a necessary width. Next, after metal belts are combined together in multiple rings, a core metal of heat resistant steel with a large coefficient of thermal expansion is inserted, then all of them are heated to a temperature not less than the temperature at which the belt base material creates a phase change due to deposition aging or transformation, and a metal belt of multiple rings is undergone plastic deformation for correction. Finally, all of them are cooled.
