Abstract

PURPOSE:To operate a heating furnace on the basis of an optimum set temp. value by estimating a heating pattern of a material to be heated at an arbitrary point of time during heating; correcting the set temp. value of the furnace; and repeating an operation to allow the practical heating pattern to agree with the desired one. CONSTITUTION:Temps. of a material to be heated in a furnace are measured at suitable intervals of time, and using the temp. of the material at present time and the set temp. value of the furnace a temp. change up to the extracting time is estimated and displayed. According to the difference between the displayed temp. change and the desired one the set temp. value of the furnace is corrected, and this correction is repeated until the estimated temp. change based on the corrected set value becomes fit for the desired one. By this method the heating furnace can be operated so that the practical heating pattern agrees with the desired one.
