Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce fuel cost through avoiding various faulty conditions due to disturbed extraction speed of steel strips by a method wherein temperature rise heat pattern for target material is determined and furnace temperature is set to meet the pattern in accordance with extraction speed. CONSTITUTION:Temperature rise heat pattern of target material is determined to provide curves which are made target temperature of steel strips at each strip outlet in heating furnace. Using the pattern as standard, furnace temperature in each zone is adjusted to the pattern so that material can be maintained at an optimum temperature. If extraction speed has changed, the furnace temperature is corrected to meet the pattern. Thus, the extraction speed has decreased, the furnace temperature is lowered to reduce unit of fuel. The method always maintains the material at an optimum temperature and prevents faulty production.
