Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize the output voltage of an alkaline battery and to improve its liquid leakage proofness, by using as an active material for the positive electrode of the battery gamma-MnO2 whose pH value is controlled within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:In a positive electrode can 1, are enclosed a positive electrode compound 2, separator 4, electrolyte-impregnated material 5, and negative zinc electrode 6.
