Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce titled compsn. which excels in electrical characteristics at an elevated temperature and has good curing accelerating properties and storage stability, by a method wherein an epoxy resin, a hardener and a specified curing accelerator are kneaded while a shear force is applied to the mixt. with heating.
CONSTITUTION: (B) A hardener such as an org. acid anhydride, or phenol-formaldehyde, novolak resin and (C) 0.5W10pts.wt. of at least one curing accelerator selector selected from tetra-substd. boron salts of nitrogen-contg. heterocyclic six- membered cpd. (including a sec.-amine) having formulae IWIV [wherein R1W5 are H, O, alkyl, alkenyl, acyl, allyl, cycloalkyl, aldehyde, etc.; R6 is (substd.) phenyl] are blended with (A) 100pts.wt. of an epoxy resin having at least two epoxy gp. per molecule. The blend is kneaded while a shear force is applied to the blend with heating at a temp. of 40W100°C.
