Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a transformer by covering the coil conductor with synthetic resin film and synthetic paper composite insulating layer, sealing with sulfur hexafluoride, and thereby improving the heat insulating and mechanical strength of the insulating layer and improving gas convection. CONSTITUTION:A coil conductor 3 wound on an iron core 2 is covered with composite insulating layer of synthetic resin film 7 and synthetic paper 8. Then, sulfur hexafluoride gas 6 is filled in the transformer tank 1. The insulating layer is formed by combining polyethylene terephthalate film of 12-50mum and aramid paper of 10-75mum. Thus, even if the temperature is raised, the synthetic paper becoming upper layer serves to suppress the temperature rise of the coil conductor, to improve the heat resistance and mechanical strength of the insulating layer, and to improve the gas convection. Thus, the transformer can be reduced in size and in weight.
