Abstract
PURPOSE: A fat component is used as a substituent of ester gum to increase the membrane strength of bubble gum, thus preventing bitter taste caused by ester gum and improving compatibility with the bubble gum base.
CONSTITUTION: From a bubble gum base composed of vinyl acetate resin, natural or synthetic rubber, wax, monoglyceride, sweetener or flavors, is removed the ester gum to produce bubble gum G. The bubble gum G is coated with chocolate C used as a fat component or the gum G is dispersed in the chocolate, thus producing a combination of bubble gum and chocolate. Ice cream may be used instead of the chocolate and such a fat as cacao butter, palm butter or coconut oil may be employed. When it is used, the fat component is added on the step of making the gum base.
