Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a cold-rolled steel plate of low yield point, low yield ratio, high ductility and superior tensile strength by quickly cooling a low carbon steel plate down to specific temperatures or lower at extremely high cooling rates at the continuous annealing of said steel plate.
CONSTITUTION: A steel slag contg. 0.01W0.12 C, ≤0.1% Si or 0.1W1.2% Si for ductility improvement purpose, 1.0W1.8% Mn and 0.01W0.10 sol. Al is hot-rolled and cold-rolled whereby a steel plate is produced. In continuously annealing this, first, it is soaked and annealed for 2secW2min at 730W800°C, after which it is quickly cooled at 30W300°C/sec cooling rates until it reaches ≤250°C temp. by a gas-water cooling method involving injection of mixed gases of gas-liquid. The steel plate for automobiles of 40W80kg/mm2 in tensile strength having low yield point is produced.
