Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a high tensile steel sheet having a low yield ratio, high ductility and high curing performance for baking and useful for automotive bodies etc. by passing a steel limited of solid solution C and S, P content in particular to a rolling-annealing line under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:The steel consisting of 0.03-0.15% C, 0.01-0.80% Si, 1.00- 2.10% Mn, where C+1/5Mn=0.35-0.45%, <=0.015% P, 0.010-0.100% Sol Al, and metal/S=4-15 of >=1 kinds of Zr, REM, Ti where >=0.003% S, and the balance iron with unavoidable impurities is produced. This is finish-rolled at above the Ar3 transformation point in a hot rolling process and is coiled at below the Ar1 point, thereafter it is pickled. Then, it is heated at 730-900 deg.C, and is held for 10-300sec, thereafter it is cooled down to 600-300 deg.C at 5-30 deg.C/sec cooling rates, thence it is water-hardened.
