Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize a direct reading of the RAM without interrupting the working of the processor at all, by performing the reading of the RAM by an external device while the processor is reading the ROM.
CONSTITUTION: The address signal supplied from the external device 9 is selected by the selector 4 and then applied to the address input terminal of the RAM3 due to the fact that the ROM enable signal is "H" while the microprocessor 1 is reading the ROM2. At the same time, the chip selection signal based on the ROM enable signal is applied to the CS terminal of the RAM3. Thus the data of the RAM3 is read out of the address designated to be applied to the device 9. In such way, the RAM3 is read by the device 9 while the processor 1 is reading the ROM2, thus ensuring a direct reading of the RAM3 without interrupting the working of the processor 1 at all.
