Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain smooth circulation of powder/particles between a reactor and a regenerator and introduce easy control of the rate of flow by installing a speed increasing and a reducing gas nozzle in the middle of a transport pipe which put the high level and low level fluid layers into communication.
CONSTITUTION: Part of the powder/particles in a reactor 1 falls down to a stripper 7 through the gap between a diffuser plate 5 and the reactor's body 1 and undergoes there stripping with the stripping vapor, that is a process to remove the oil attaching to powder/particles at high temperature. After stripping, the powder/ particles come into a communication pipe 9, where the rate of flow is controlled by the aeration gas fed through an aeration gas inlet 10 installed at the lower part of this communication pipe 9. The powder/particles are then introduced into a regenerator 2 by the lift gas fed from a lift gas inlet 11, where the carbon which has attached to the surfaces of the powder/particles is burnt. Part of the powder/particles in the regenerator flows through a transport pipe 15 into a contructed part 16, where the rate of flow is controlled with a speed increasing nozzle 17a and a reducing nozzle 17b, and returns to the reactor 1.
