Abstract
PURPOSE: To stabilize the combustion and enable flames to adhere to the perforated side of an outer combustion body by a method wherein a plurality of horizontal ribs projected toward an inner combustion body are provided at the central and upper parts of the outer combustion body where throat area ratio is high.
CONSTITUTION: The plural horizontal ribs 5 projected toward the inner combustion body 2 are provided at the central and upper parts of the outer combustion body 3 where the throat area ratio is high, thereby partly deforming the draft in the gap between the combustion bodies 2, 3. Due to the ribs 5 being provided on the side of the body 3, the mixture gas and the combustion gas flowing upward in the gap between the bodies 2, 3 are provided with higher velocities at positions closer to the inner combustion body 2 and lower velocities at positions closer to the outer combustion body 3. Accordingly, in the area close to the body 2 where the gases flows upward at higher velocities, the pressure in the gap between the bodies 2, 3 is lowered by a larger amount as compared with the case when the ribs 5 are not provided. Therefore, large amounts of air is fed through small holes 2' and the combustion proceeds rapidly.
