Abstract

PURPOSE: To check the generation of carbone monoxide when under a low load while accomplishing adjustment of the amount of NOx generated during the operation by means of a fuel control valve arranged for a fuel feed pipe for communicating a burner inlet valve and thin gas mixture injection nozzle.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel feed pipe 10 running to an injection nozzle 2 for producing a thin gas mixture from a burner inlet valve 6 is interposed with a fuel control valve 9. The valve 9 regulates the flow of fuel to the injection nozzle 2 so that a thick gas mixture 3 or a thin gas mixture 4 can be produced. Then, an exhaust gas 13 for combustion is mixed into an air 11 for combustion. Thus, a multiplication effect by this thick/thin gas mixture method allows a low NOx combustion. In addition, with the opening adjustment of the fuel control valve 9, NOx reduction rate can be controlled. When under a low load, the valve 9 is fully opened to prevent the generation of CO from the thin gas mixture section.
