Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a safety system for combustion apparatus, which can detect ignition automatically and with high responsiveness although a thermocouple is used at its detecting end and can be operated in highly stable manner against the influence of humidity and noises produced by an ignitor or external radio waves. CONSTITUTION:An output of a thermocouple 9, which produces a thermo-electromotive force when it is heated by combustion flame, is given to a proportional differentiating circuit C after it is amplified by a predetermined ratio in an amplifying circuit B. The circuit C produces a saturated stable output and an upward or downward gradient output of the thermo-electromotive force, and this output Vs is compared with a set voltage Vd in a comparator 34. According to the result of the above comparison, comparator 34 produces a high level or low level output voltage for driving the load of a relay 39 and others in a driving circuit E. Here, the above proportional differentiating circuit C is composed of resistances 22, 25, 27, transistor 23, capacitor 24 and diodes 26, 28, 30, and its output voltage Vs is given at the junction of resistances 25 and 27.
