Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove the air current speed dependency of an alarming device by providing a difference detecting circuit producing output corresponding to the increasing ratio of the ambient temperature, a time constant circuit connected to its output end and generating output corresponding to the gradient of the output, and means for generating an alarm when the output exceeds a predetermined value.
CONSTITUTION: A detection circuit 1 is constituted by a heat sensitive element Rs having a small heat time constant, for example, in the order of one minute, and a heat sensitive element Rs' having a large heat time constant in the order of 10min, both heat sensitive elements having substantially equal electrical characteristics. The heat sensitive element Rs sufficiently pursues the fluctuation of the ambient temperature. The time constant of a time constant circuit 2 is not affected so much with respect to the rapid temperature rise at the time of fire, and is determined to a value close to or slightly more than the heat time constant of the heat sensitive element Rs. A voltage signal proportional to the temperature difference between the heat sensitive elements Rs and Rs' is differentiated by a time constant circuit 2 and the output is compared with a reference voltage in a comparison circuit 3, and an alarm device 5 emits an alarm through a differential amplifier DA and a transistor T1. This alarm device does not depend upon the air current speed.
