Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve reliability by comparing a signal from a light-receiving element for compensation with a reference voltage, resetting the said signal so that its deviation value may be minimized and stabilizing a signal from a light-receiving element for signal detection with the help of the reset value. CONSTITUTION:Light-receiving diodes for signal detection and for compensation 2a, 2b are arranged opposed to a luminous diode 1. A signal from the light-receiving diode for compensation 2b, after being amplified by a variable amplifier 6, is compared to a reference voltage of a constant voltage source 13 by means of a comparator 14. An output voltage of this comparator 14 is also applied to a variable amplifier 5 connected to the light-receiving diode for signal detection 2a at the same time that a gain reset by the variable amplifier 6 is controlled. As it is controlled in such manner that the both amplifiers 5, 6 may have the same gain and also the output voltage of the amplifier 6 may be equal to a reference voltage, it is possible to obtain a stabilized signal at the output terminal of the amplifier 5.
