Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain good electrostatic images free from any decrease in charge potential at the uniform charging despite repetition of image reproduction by containing specific bisphenol compound into a resin layer dispersed with a phthalocyanine pigment which generates light carriers.
CONSTITUTION: A resin layer P consisting in containing the phthalocyanine pigment particles G which generate light carriers into a resin contained with the bisphenol compound expressed by the formula (R, R' are alkyl) is provided to a conductive substrate C, whereby the photoreceptor for electrophotography is obtained. As a result, the rate at which the carriers are trapped in the resin layer is low, and the carriers after exposure transfer rapidly to the photoreceptor surface and conductor layer; therefore, in the next uniform charging process, there are virtually no residual carriers owing to the trap in the resin layer, thus such as inconvenience that the uniformly charged charge in the photoreceptor surface couples to the residual carriers and lowers the surface charge potential as in conventional photoreceptors does not occur.
