Abstract
PURPOSE: To optimize the flame radiation characteristic and the inner-furnace temperature distribution in the combustion in an industrial furnace corresponding to the characteristics of the furnace or the purpose of combustion therein by controlling the amount of atomization.
CONSTITUTION: The fuel is supplied to the burner I of a heat-leveling furnace (f) through the intermediary of a fuel flow-rate signal transmitter 13 and a fuel flow-rate adjusting valve 8 and is atomized by an atomizing medium fed through the intermediary of an atomization amount signal transmitter 14 and an atomization flow-rate adjusting valve 9. Signals from each of furnace temperature detecting probes t1 and t2 of the heat-leveling furnace (f) are inputted in a temperature adjusting meter 17, while signals from the meter are inputted in an airfuel ratio setter 18, a fuel flow-rate adjusting meter 19 and an atomization amount setter 20, respectively. The atomization amount setter 20 gives an atomization amount adjusting meter 21 a signal in accordance with the pattern of the atomization amount which is optimum for the furnace. In case of air atomization, the amount is adjusted to be 0.5Nm3/l or more, while in case of vapor atomization, the amount is adjusted to be 0.4kg/l or more, and therey the flame radiation distribution and inner-furnace temperature distribution in the period of leveling heat are controlled and kept in the optimum conditions.
