CONSTITUTION:When a load terminal is changed-over from positive potential to negative potential with main reverse conductivity type thyristors 2e', 2f', auxiliary reverse conductivity type thyristors 3c, 3d and commutating capacitors 4a and 4b combined with each other, the thyristor 3c is ignited. Resonance current is let flow in series to the thyristor side of the thyristor 3c and the diode side of the thyristor 3d. For changing-over the load terminal from negative potential to positive potential, resonance current is let flow in series to the thyristor side of the thyristor 3d and the diode side of the thyristor 3c. Thereby only one kind of thyristors is allowed to be used for the voltage type inverters. Therefore, manufacturing process can be simplified and maintenance parts can be reduced.
