Abstract

PURPOSE:To control a large load of commutating inductance by a comparatively simple constitution wherein the constitution is consisted of a semiconductor switching element, a commutating diode bridge and a thyristor, without using a capacitor. CONSTITUTION:A diode bridge DB consisted of diodes 13-18 whose a.c. input terminals are connected to a.c. output terminals u, v, w of a thyristor TB corresponding with phases, a power transistor 19 connected to a d.c. output terminal of the diode bridge DB in antiparallel, a commutating auxiliary thyristor Sa whose cathode is connected to a positive terminal of power source B and anode is to a positive terminal of d.c. output of the diode bridge DB, a commutating auxiliary thyristor Sb whose anode is connected to a negative terminal of power source O and cathode to a negative terminal of d.c. output of the diode bridge, are added to a batch commutating current type PWA inverter.
