Abstract

PURPOSE:To enahnce the power loss reducing effect without causing no resistance loss for the power control circuit comprising the semiconductor switching element by reducing equivalently the capacity down to half at the capacitor charging time of the power loss reducing circuit and then doubling the capacity at the discharging time respectively. CONSTITUTION:The main circuit is constituted with power source 1, load 5 and reactor 4 when the switching element is ON. At the same time, the serial resonance circuit is formed with capacitor 10 and 13, reactor 11 and diode 12 in power loss reduction circuit 6, and capacitor 10 and 13 are charged up to the power circuit. In this serial resonance circuit, the capacitor's capacity becomes 1/2 and the resonance current is suppressed with no resistance loss. When element 2 is OFF, the same operation as conventional is secured via capacitor 10, diode 14 plus capacitor 13 and diode 15, but the capacity becomes double to increase the power loss reducing effect.
