Then, the firing phase of the rectifying thyristor bridge 31 is so set that said bridge operates in the same way as a diode. In this case, because a transistor 32 is turned OFF and no firing signal is given to the thyristor bridge 33, there is no loss in regenerating circuits other than the thyristor bridge 31 at the time of rectification.
