Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A thyristor power source has the first thyristor group 2 connected in 3-phase Graets connection for performing a converter operation and the second thyristor group 3 connected in 3-phase Graets connection for performing an inverter operation. Further, the power source has a chopping transistor 7 and a flywheel diode 8. The transistor 7 is conducted and interrupted by applying pulses of the prescribed duty cycle of the predetermined repetition period to the transistor, and a current feeding back loop is formed with the diode 8 when the transistor 7 is interrupted, thereby limiting the current value at the inverter operation time.
