Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect selectively at will ions in a desired different mass range by dispersing an ion beam according to differences in the mass-to charge ratios of the ions by a magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:An ion beam is incident into an analysis unit 6, and, after its ions are dispersed there according to differences in the mass-to charge ratios of the ions by a magnetic field, these ions enter plural detectors 11a, 11b and 11c respectively. Detecting characteristics of these detectors are, for example, as follows. The detector 11a can detect the MX group (1-99m/e), the detector 11b can detect the M2 (100m/e) and the detector 11c can detect the MY group (101m/e and over).
