Abstract

PURPOSE: To measure the deterioration with good accuracy, by catching the vanadium carbide quantitatively and detecting the behavior of time aging given to the carbide.
CONSTITUTION: As to the heat resistant steel of Cr-Mo-V system used at high temperatures, the factor of separation such as distance between grains of vanadium carbide finely separated in the metal matrix, particle diameter, or number of separations, is obtained. The degree of deterioration is obtained by comparing the result obtained with the ratio of deterioration/number of factors of separation obtained in advance for the standard sample.
