Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform venting surely and easily by providing a venting groove, a valve provided at its end, a spool supporting this valve, a bypass and a gas exhaust path to the parting face part of dies. CONSTITUTION:When molten metal is fed into a cavity 7 through a pouring port 8 by opening a valve 14, the exhaust gas is exhausted through a gas exhaust port 20 by way of a venting groove 10, a valve 14 sliding in the axial line direction at its end, a spool 22 which supports said valve freely slidably and which per se can slide in the axial line direction, and a bypass 15 bypassing to the side face of the valve 14 from the mid-part of the venting groove. When the filling of the molten metal into the cavity 7 is nearly completed, the molten metal ascends in the venting groove 10 and closes the valve 14; at the same time, part thereof enters the bypass 15. At this time, the remained exhaust gas is mostly carried by this and just the slight gas remains near the valve seat.
