The cold chamber of a pressure die casting- machine has one or more inlets 3 connected to pressure lubricating means coupled to the opening and closing of the mould, each inlet being closed by a spring-loaded ball or cone 5 projecting into the patch of the ram 9 and opening when run over by the ram to allow lubricant flow.
