Abstract
1430619 Inoculating cast iron STETTNER & CO 14 Dec 1973 [27 Feb 1973] 58083/73 Addition to 1394270 Heading B3F [Also in Division C7] A foundry aid 5 for use in the inoculation of cast iron melts and comprising a solidified matrix of a metal having a melting point below that of cast iron and having dispersed therein granules of an inoculating agent, is provided with a pin or stem 6 for locating the aid 5 in position on a strainer gate core 4 of a mould. The composition of the aid 5 is as described in Specification 1,394,270.
