Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the simultaneous casting of the under cut and cast hole in a direction (b) and the cast hole in the direction perpendicular to the direction (b) by combining a floating core with a core die in such a manner that the two cores can be integrally and independently slid in the direction different from the sliding direction (b) of the former. CONSTITUTION:The floating core 10 is provided into the hole 9 of the core die 8 freely slidable in the direction (b-b') different from, for example, a die clamping and opening direction (a-a') in such a manner that said core can be freely moved forward and backward in the direction perpendicular to the direction (b-b') and can be grasped by stationary and moving dies 1, 3. A molten metal is cast in the state shown in the figure and the floating core 10 is pushed out toward the die 1 side via a push out bar 13 by a driving mechanism 23 and is separated form a product 16 simultaneously with die opening after solidification of the molten metal and lapse of the proper time. The bar 13 is retreated succession thereof and a core holder 6 and the core die 8 are retreated toward the arrow (b') direction. The floating core 10 is then retreated integrally with the core die 8. The product 16 is thereafter pushed out by pins 19.
