Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform venting surely and easily by injecting molten metal by opening the valve in the gas exhaust path of die cavity and shutting off the valve by the inertia force of the molten material to be injected of large mass at the time when the exhausting of gas of small mass is finished thereby preventing its effluence. CONSTITUTION:When molten metal is fed into a cavity 7 through a pouring port 8 by opening a valve 14, the exhaust gas is exhausted from a gas exhaust port 20 by way of a vent way 9, vent groove 10, bypass 15 and gas exhaust hole 13. When the filling of the molten metal into the cavity 7 is nearly completed, the molten metal ascends in the vent groove 10 to close the valve 14; at the same time, part thereof enters the bypass 15. At this time, the exhaust gas having remained is carried mostly by this and just slight gas remains near the valve seat.
