Abstract
PURPOSE:To make easy the removal of pickup at the electrode chip end, by providing the groove holding the pickup removing material to the chip dresser inserted between upper and lower electrode chips. CONSTITUTION:The upper electrode chip 1 is fallen down with own-weight and the chip dresser 3 is inserted between chip 1 and the lower electrodes 2. The groove 4 is provided at both sides of the chip dresser 3, cushion material 5 is inserted and the emery paper 6 is fitted. The chip dresser 3 is rotated toward the arrow by taking the upper and lower electrode chips 1, 2 as the axis. Thus, the pickup at the tip of the electrode chips 1, 2 can be removed. Further, in this case, since the electrode chips 1, 2 are scraped with emery paper, suitable curved plane can be formed with greater circumferential speed at external side from the center of tip of the electrode chips 1, 2 and by changing the thickness of cushion material 5, the desired chip radius can be obtained.
